FYI NY and NJ are extremely strict on permitting and travel restrictions for oversize loads especially if you are crossing any bridges. Parts of NY around the city now require police escorts and you have to travel in the wee hours of the morning. Everything has to be by the book.

You would absolutely need a much larger truck than you have to haul that boat. You can try to get some bids from truckers to see what the options are. Be sure anyone you hire is licensed and bonded so that the boat is protected in transit.
