Thanks for the information. The trip through the Okeechobee Waterway has been delayed a bit after the temp light on the little diesel went off twice. I put into a marina and took a slip for the month. The mechanic is scheduled to put the exhaust manifold and pump back on this week. I am enjoying the weekends over on the west coast. It is giving me time to go over and become familiar with some of the systems on the boat. The list of maintenance/repair tasks is constantly changing. As I take care of one, another one or two get added. I am planning on bringing a buddy's hooka rig over this coming weekend to check / scrape the bottom, shaft and prop. I am really looking forward to the trek across the lake. I am planning on taking "route 1" through the center of the lake. The main concern I have is with the railroad lift bridge to the East of the Port Mayaca lock. The clearance has been running just over 49', the book shows the boat has 47'+ above the waterline, not much to play with :-)
