Re: How do you get your fix when the snow is flying
I am totally itchy already. It's going to be a long winter.
I do enjoy the feeling of getting caught up on projects that aren't pressured by the coming weekend or taking up time on a good sailing day. While not every year, we do go south and bareboat charter in the middle of the winter. Something to look forward to and, by the time we get back, the season is usually right around the corner.
We spend four days per week (Fri to Mon) aboard from April to October and aggressively deny weekend invites to do other things in that window. It can slightly tick some people off, but we would literally give back half the time to parties, birthdays, charity stuff, etc. So we use the winter months to get caught up.
