Found a boat within my financial means, worked hard to pay for it (....and ongoing maintenance and upgrades) and told my wife the new kitchen she wanted was in our new vacation home which has 360 degrees of waterfront.

PS, 10 years later we renovated our kitchen and first floor which cost more than the boat. (ouch!)
