Nice labeling, but wow that is expensive to do! We bought a DuraLabel printer a few years ago to do pipe labeling with 2" wide vinyl tape. Our printer does up to 4" wide labels. I got a roll of self laminating wire markers just to try. That was pretty much the last we used it for labels, the shop really liked the printer for wire markers. They have white area you print on and a clear overwrap that laminates the printing. The printer will print down to 1/2" wide and as long as you need your sentence to be. It makes nice looking equipment labels too. The cost of consumables makes the payback very quick if you do this as a business.
