I think you're right. There was a Cruising World
article a few months ago about young cruisers, and maybe more than half of the twenty-somethings were enjoying primo cruising rounds on OPBs (other people's boats). If my own son wants to follow in your footsteps in his twenties, even after sailing with us, I might suggest that he selectively crew for others for awhile before buying his own boat. At the least, experience would be gained. At the best, funds and experience would be gained. Meager funds might go a lot further.
