a dodger can stick up like a sore thumb and make the boat look bad or it can enhance the lines of the cabin.....what makes the difference can be subtle, so making it out of card board and/or door skin first to see how it would look...see hao everything would fit is highly recommended. Look around at other boats what looks goo, what looks bad (this works for any changes to your boat...learn by other peoples mistakes, use other peoples good ideas).
I found a boat with similar lines (my cabin top is low with a lot of shear). low dodger, you have to make sure getting in and out of the cabin is not hindered, also make sure it doesn't get in the way of sheets, when you reef, does it hinder you vision, etc....
