Probably so. but I have several conical shaped plugs that will fit into any thru-hull hole. So I was just trying to be "efficeint" however, I don't think the effceincy is worth the potential down side in this case. leaving my boat unattended for 3-4 weeks, with nothing more than a cone shaped plug in the 2" thru hull.
I can't foresee anyhting going wrong..... but it just "feels" really wrong....
