Re: Bareboating Catana 47: Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique

Thanks Dmic
I like to think that my boat is well laid out but I still find ways to curse at it
at times... and I could certainly spend every dime I have trying to make it better,
after all cruising boats = money pits right?

Bob...I meant to ask you, are the dual autopilots linked? In other words, if you set a course on your starboard helm then move to the port helm, can you put the system back on standby? or does each one operate independently?
I have two complete autopilot systems, including a linear drive, rud ref indicator on each rudder.(1st owner ordered this) I can use either system alone at a time(switched Autopilot A or Autopilot B at the Nav Station)
The autopilot controls at each helm are joined and control whichever autopliot system... A or B is switched on
The boat has mechanical(rack and pinion type steering) so the the two rudders are joined as one.
