There is an excellent review of the 28-2 in the Sept/Oct 2005 issue of Good Old Boat. I had considered buying one myself before I found my current boat. According to the article, it runs a 100% jib for the headsail. To quote from the article, "In today's marketplace, the Pearson 28-2 is tough to beat for cruising comfort, performance, and value."
