Re: Need advice: small hole in genoa

Is it a puncture hole or a wear hole? There are many layers of fabric at the points of the sail. If it is a wear hole and it's worn through all of the layers then I'd bring the sail home (or somewhere that would allow you to lay sections of it out in an open area) and inspect all of the stitching and fabric closely.

Sail tape is a good temporary repair and if it is a puncture hole it might be good for the long term.

Lake Union today was quite gusty and a bit of a handful with a 150, I don't know if Lake WA was the same? We started with a 150, but did a sail change over to the 110.

Ballard Sails (Shilshole) did some sail repairs for me at a reasonable price last year.
