Thank you all for the info and great ideas. I think we did it with the stick flags and grommets last time we sailed and it worked fine. The Caribbean has so many places to visit and many flags sure could cost a lot in flags. I like the the idea of buying a flag in port too.

Locals really like to see there flag flying on your boat when at anchorage or in port. Last time we were in the Pacific in the Marquesas I was flying the French flag which is OK. In one anchorage a village elder paddled out in his out rigger and gave us a Marquesan flag as a gift. We flew that flag in the Island from then on. The locals really commented on that and really liked it.
