It's funny, we never thought of it as less than ideal weather until afterwards, when the restaurant owner made his comments. I've been to St. John enough to realize that you usually get a rain shower or squall every day, and it did seem to be a little more than that this time. But there was still enough good weather every day to have plenty of time to enjoy. At the time, we just thought that it must be a little more blustery out on the water compared to the extremely protected topography that we were accustomed to at Maho Bay.

Even after this "less than ideal weather," my wife says she never wants to do another land-based vacation down there. The evenings were much cooler and lower humidity on the water than they were up on land. For her, it's boat-only from now on.
