Re: I30 Mark II Profile Drawing
It is my understanding that the Islander Bahama 30 was very similar to the I 30 MK II except for three factors:
1. It was a little lighter.
2. The sail area is a bit different. I know the main sail is different, perhaps Bacon Sail has rig measurements for both.
3. I also believe that the Bahama designation was given when Islander moved its production facilities from California (Coasta Mesa?) to somewhere in the Caribbean or Latin America, I'm not sure which.
I should add that Aquila, Sail 462, my I 30 MK II was built 1974-75. Commissioned in Duluth, MN. We knew the original owner and purchased it in 1985 and have had it since. A great boat.
Hope this adds some clarification, not confusion.
