Re: I30 Mark II Profile Drawing
I thought I posted this last night, but I do not see what I wrote then. If it is here twice, my apologies.
Three things that may help with the difference between the I 30 MK II and the I 30 Bahama:
1. The 30 has a slightly different rig dimension. I am not sure what it is, but I know when I was getting a new main made several years ago one place sent me dimensions that were wrong, then I noticed they had I 30 Bahama, even though I had said I 30 MK II. I did not have them do my work.
2. The I 30 Bahama is lighter. I don't know if the hull is thinner or what, but it displaces a little less.
3. It is my understanding that the I 30 was made "off shore." The plant in California closed and in an effort to keep making Islanders production was moved to the Caribbean or Latin America, I'm not sure which. (Maybe that is where the name "Bahama" came from.
Hope this helps.
