Re: Two month Barnacle Growth PNW

If strict to two months I agree with jrd22. I can't recall the season of barnacle spawning, but doubt it is now. Even my dinghy, which lives in the water here in the Salish Sea, is accumulating no barnacles right now, whereas in the spring and summer I have to scrape them off every few weeks.

And I don't suspect whatever small amount of algae or barnacles would do any harm whatsoever to your epoxy coat. The glue of barnacles is world-class, but even if you get any and scrape them off, it would only take a very light sanding to remove the residue.

If I were in your shoes, I would do it, and make sure I hauled before the end of April.
