I'm buying a 50ft boat in Florida, but would like to get it out of there for Hurricaine season. I'm guessing that the insurance savings to bring it up to Chesapeake Bay or somewhere more north would be worth the hassle factor.
I'm from the Midwest, so anywhere on the east coast will be a plane ride for me to visit...so its not important to be near my home. But access to an airport would be good.
Wondering if anyone has advice as to where I should look for a place to keep her? Ideally it would be relatively cheap. Well protected and looked after in the event of a storm, and accessible to a cluster of "marine industry" as there are a number of upgrades & repairs I hope to accomplish before we go cruising next fall.
