Re: How did you get your start in sailing?

Fell in love with sailing when I was a passenger on a Sail/Dive vessel sailing around the Bahamas SCUBA diving.Later years I had a friend who's Dad had a 28' Bucanneer and he taught me the basics. Years later I bought my first sailboat a 19' Miriage to learn more by trial and error...mostly error...I have been sailing now for 5 years and have a Mac 26S and continue to study and learn as much as possible through sailing local lakes, and taking sailing vacations to the Atlantic and Gulf coastal areas.I also have done a little of the AICW and plan to do more this summer. My goal is to one day have a 35-40' cruiser and continue my journey loving the Sea!
