Hello, I just came across this forum while browsing the net.
I'm a member of a couple of other forums but am still looking for one that "fits" me.

I'm building a 49 foot Cat in PEI Canada, and am interested in other people's experiences sailing and travelling. I'm big on learning from other people's experiences, and not big on learning from other people's conjecture.

I'm not a big contributor to forums, but I read lots.

I'm a former diesel mechanic, so may contribute there.

My wife and I have cruised from Canada to Trinidad and back on a 35 foot mono, and from Canada to Europe and back on a 39 foot mono. We got tired of all those cats bragging about speed, and even worse, they proved it by crossing the ocean in about half the time it took us. So, if you can't beat them, join them.
