This is great for desserted beach dighy picknics. I can think of a hundred times when I would of freaked people out by pulling this thing out and blending up some frozen drinks out of cooler ice out in the back country. I can see why people who don't spend a lot of time out on desserted tropical islands camping out of a kayak or panga, with a cooler full of ice, some limes and a bottle or 3 of rum, would'nt see this a usefull, but for us it's freak'n ideal. Plus I'm an anti electrical gadget guy so there is that as well.
