Re: Looking for info on Caliber 40lrc

We own a 2000 caliber 40 it's a great ocean
Going boat. She stands up to weather and is a work horse
We have in furl sails, two fuel tanks ( plenty of fuel to get to USVI -and home to us)
Storage is our 1 problem but we've gotton creative
Would not own anything else. We're full time live aboards.
The best next size up is the caliber 47 centercock pit but
It's a bit to handle. Our friends have one, it's very nice but with size
You repair issues are very different... Also hard to find the larger ones
Call sonny in nc who is the caliber dealer he can answer you questions and find you a boat
Caliber LRC 40s run &245k min cost used
New $300K up used 47 is $485 k and up
47 is no longer made.... Beauford yacht sales
Is the best place to shop. Be prepared to travel once you have
A caliber you never want anything else so you rarely find them for sale
Best of luck
