You have obviously made up your mind to do this. Let us know when your done if it works out. It will be a long tow.
BTW on my trip the computer in my truck gave me instant and average mpg. Towing on the flats I was averaging 8 mpg and in the mountains I was getting 4.
Jim... Yes I plan to document the haul out onto the trailer, trip to Savannah, launch at the new marina, etc., should prove quite interesting to say the least! Last time I did this was in 1996 hauling a 19 foot daysailer behind a U-Haul large moving truck loaded to the max as I just sold my house in Seattle and moved to Savannah... unfortunately I sold the daysailer and missed sailing all that time.
