Re: How do u find good crew for a race?

In the 80s it was hard to find good crew so my now gone friend Robert Melrose started a J24 program using juniors and we developed a pretty solid group of young ones that went on to do the same

My friend with the microphone Joe found all of us from adds in the local pennsaver and invested the time to build a solid core group

We do very well with a mix of male/female between 15 and 70 something and are still adjusting to the passing of are oldest crew who still trimmed a bad ass mainsail at 93

It takes a LOT TIME AND WORK and we will start meeting weekly in march about 1 month before the boats are launched to plan are 2013 goals

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
