Re: Water damage to cabin sole

So if you are correct that the water entered thru the hatches over the forward berth and the salon I would tend to believe that water settled out on the sole and then worked its way into the bilges and was pumped out if the bilge pump(s) were active.

I have recently sprayed a lot of water into the boat while cleaning areas of teak prior to its first coat of varnish. It collects on the sole but ultimately finds its way into the bilge. So its quite possible that the only damage is what you have seen.

The interior of the Pacific Seacraft Crealock 37s are built on an internal liner, the settees and cabinets are all fiberglass so a sole replacement is actually quite straightforward when compared to many boats.
