Cannot find any specific info on moorage rates in NS or NFLD.. generally in Canada anchoring is free, unless it's not permitted (in aircraft and commercial traffic lanes.)

While I expect rates would be less than Vancouver's typical $1.00 to $1.75/ft/day for transients (less for long term/monthly/annual) you might end up paying $.25 to $.50/ft/day for a modest vessel at a 'Government dock' and more at a commercial marina. But that's just a guess, those economies are not strong and rates could be quite low.
