He could save a chunk by getting only one MFD - and using either an android or ipad as his repeater. The e series has wireless, including remote operation for both system.
I do mine from my phone even.
Having said that, you don't need a S100 - the pad or a phone can do it.

I'm not sure I'd go with I50's, why not i70's which are multi function displays (each can display anything) - that is far better than single purpose displays

You'll need network converters to do that, I50's are ST, not STng.
If you go with i70's you'll only need 1 ITC 5 sensor pod (E70010) for all the sensors

You've got the X-30, and the P70 but what about the rest of the autopilot (below decks stuff).
E series MFD's have built in GPS, mine works just fine, no need for a remote unit.

I'd suggest adding a E85001, network interface hub - for PC's and such.
