Re: Downside to leaving outboard motor prop in water?
I have heard people will wrap their prop with a thick mil black trash bag and tape it up totally covering the submerged portion of the out board or the lower end. Theory is to block the light out and stop photosinthesis( prob spelled that wrong ) ever hear of that and-or any truth to it. Also somthing about it's normally warmer in the water that the air. But I'm probly totally wrong.
