Holding tank for 1966 Alberg 30

Does anyone have info for a holding tank on older A-30 models? I have found some info on successful installations on 1972 or newer boats, but nothing on older models. Also, how does one deal with this should a tank not be available, in order not to get a huge fine if stopped by uscg?

Looks like Raritan made some holding tanks for a group purchase a while back. It's not clear whether the dimensions given worked well with pre-'72 boats. I'd give Raritan a call and see if you can still buy it.

If you just want the tank for compliance - rubber blade tank works fine (but don't try to actually use it ).

There are also a few manufacturers that have large catalogs of tanks they make. You could see if one of the shapes and sizes fits.

Raritan has a catalog too and so do a few others, I don't have a link for right this second.

For my boat of same vintage, none of these tanks provided optimal size so I went the custom route. It cost me a pretty penny, but I can go for weeks without pumping out.

Your head location is similar to that on a Triton. When I first got my boat there was a glassed plywood holding tank below the port settee, but it ate up to much of my limited storage space so we moved it to the area behind the head, again a custom glassed plywood construction. We did investigate various ready made tanks, but could not find one that suited the Triton, however, your A30 has just enough extra room that one of these tanks may work for you.

Hello, approximately how many gallons is the holding tank? Could your briefly descibe the construction techniques? Thanks
