"New Posts" button in User CP and Homepage

Is there any way to reconfigure the "New Posts" button in my User CP to show the "New Posts -- No politics/off topic" link?

I usually visit Sailnet through the homepage, which takes me here:
https://sailnet.com/forums/cmps_index.php

When I'm done reading a thread I usually click Home, which also takes me back there. These are habits from other forums.

With Sailnet the homepage has a very pruned back list of new topics. If I go there I don't get the "New Posts" menu, so the best that I can do is click "New Posts", then get the "New Posts" menu to filter out the political stuff.

It would be great to avoid all of these extra steps. Since the "New Posts" and "Home" buttons are about all that are consistent throughout the entire Sailnet website it would be nice to have one of them go to my preferred view.

When you are done reading a thread, just go to the top of whatever page you are on and New Posts is on the blue bar. A drop down box has what you want. No need to go to home page.

I'll second Alex's original request - it would be nice if visiting sailnet.com and clicking the "new posts" part of the User CP would take us to the no politics/off-topic listing. I use that all the time, but getting to that from the main homepage is a 2 or 3 click trip. I know it isn't much, but it would be very nice.

I know that I can do this, but it is different than every other web forum. I use enough web forums that I already have patterns in place.

The "New Posts" button is also one click, while the "New Posts" menu is two. I also can't even get to the "New Posts" menu from the Home page, so I have to click on a random thread (or "New Posts" button) to get to it.

Having a major forum menu appear and disappear gives a jarring experience.
