Inverter installation

I would like to install a 700-1000 watt inverter. I would like to feed the existing outlets in the cabin to eliminate cords running to appliances. I am aware of limatations of inverter size. Is there a simple transfer switch to accomplish this.

Thanks, Dave

There are switches that detect sudden presence of shore power and switch it through to avoid damaging the inverter. Some inverters actually have the facility built in.
