Question depth sounder transducer - how to check?

I have older SR Mariner instruments. The depth sounder seems to be flaky. How does one check the state of the transducer, particularly the electrical characteristics. It is said to work at 160 KHz. What resistance, etc, should it present at the terminals on the display, when disconnected?

Thanks,

- charles

Manuals not there ...

Hi Paulj:

I had tried that web-site, but could find only manuals for SR weigh scales and the like. The model of my depth sounder is DM-1. I have not found a manual for that yet.

Cheers.

If they don't

If this group does't have the answer I would be very surprised.
