OK Now my own question.

ON CF if you want to find in my case " All Threads started by Stillraining".. to add info to all you have to do is highlight your screen name and you have that choice there along with the same other ones we have ...Can we get that one here as well...Prudy Please?

Another site I know holds a monthly photo contest. The moderator selects a topic, such as lighthouses, and posters submit their lighthouse picutures that month. It's set up as a poll. Registered members each vote for their favorites, which get moved to the top of the postings accordingly.

Scott - if you go to the user profile page that option is available. There's "find all posts by...." and "Find all threads started by...".

Oddly, I'm using Google Chrome and I don't get that drop down list, it goes straight to the profile page.

I like that idea... We'd probably have to get admin involved to set some guidelines... CD?

OK ....I just figured out that it is indeed available from an actual post that you have already made somewhere like three post above this one... it will work there...but its not available from within your user CP or from clicking on your own user name at the top of say this page....So you effectively have to first find one of your own posts to use that feature as it is set up now..Kind of a bummer.

What's up with the pop ups? I understand that it's a easy way to make a buck, but to have it pop up everytime you click on another forum or topic?

This is by far the most annoying pop-ups I have ever seen on a forum board.

Sorry guys, I love your site but I cannot deal with the pop ups you now have.

I dont get teh pop-ups. I wonder if that was a temporary issue? I heard about a Mercedes ad popping up las tnight, but I have not seen it. Others?

Welpers, it's not there tonight. Hoooooray!!! Yea it was a Mercedes ad, and it was popping up everytime I clicked anything. Waaay annoying. But it's not doing it now...Thank you to whoever got it to stop!

Now I can go back to reading some good stuff.

Is there a board for that here and I just missed it? A few other boards both sailing related and non-sail related have a place to buy and sell items. A good way to clean out the garage and pick up stuff at a reasonable price.

But be sure to read the "sticky" at the top.. you may not advertise any boats here unless you've been a member for a year, and have at least 50 non-off topic posts. The reason for this is to provide a service to established members but not to be another 'craiglist' type of venue for 'drive-bys".

There's also a little-used 'Classified' section but frankly I'm not too sure how that works. I just quickly stepped partly through the process and it looks painless enough, and saw no info about any charges, but it hasn't been posted to in 4 years....
