I'd really like to see geographically separate forums. Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, Southwest, Great Lakes, Gulf States, etc....

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

1. Keep idle chatter out of the suggestion box.
2. Post stickys only on the first page of a topic to avoid the necessity of scrolling through all of them when looking through multiple pages of one topic.

These pretty well all exist under the subheading 'Destinations'...

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

I'd prefer the "mark this forum read" in the gen maintenance section not mark the subforums as read.

It's a minor annoyance, and someone else probably requested it this way :-)

boz,

Some of the features are out of the box and would take a lot of additional coding to change. Things like moving forums around, the moderators can do.

Oh well, I'll just train myself to start in the subforums.

Search criteria for members list. Might not be a good idea. Second time I have wanted it.

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

Wind... The large image thing is a PITA to be sure but it doesn't happen all that often. The in-house SN image upload/ attachment isn't a very good tool anyway so most of use Photobucket or equivalent, PB can appropriately resize any image for the forum if necessary.

If most users aren't using the SN upload not sure a feature like that would work?

Faster,

I don't know anything about how the forum works but I have seen BB Code's that allow resizing. I'll use paren instead of bracket to show it below.

(img)source url(/img)

That's what we have now.

But some BB Code's allow this ...

(img width=500 height=300)source url(/img)

And some allow ...

(img=500x300)source url(/img)

And some allow ...

(resize=50)(img)source url(/img)(/resize)

that would resize the image by 50%.

Is there something similar for the IMG tag that Sailnet uses ? It doesn't work now, I have tried it, but maybe it is something that the administrator for the site can turn on ?

What are you pretending not to know ?
