I'm sure we can do that. I'll let the others know.

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

Reading this thread, I see that back in 2009 someone asked for a 'Multihulls' dedicated forum and I don't think that ever got addressed. Please, dedicate a forum to multihulls? Thx!

I'll start a discussion with the mods about this one. My first thought is that multihulls are listed in the Boat Builders Row for discussion about specific boats. I suspect that in the past there wasn't enough traffic for a dedicated forum.

Just thinking aloud. I'll see what we can do.

edit: went looked twice. I see neither a general 'multihull' nor a specific brand listed? and come to think, a general 'multihulls' thread would be better than a specific brand, given as you suggest that the traffic isn't that busy.

Maybe if a forum were more prominent, there'd be more traffic. Perhaps under the 'general' subfora listings

How difficult would it be, were y'all to create a multihulls forum, to go back and move old threads to the newer forum?

thanks

It is not hard to move a thread. The time consuming part is finding them and then, how far back in time do we go?

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

Since one of the goals of this was to simplify the forums We could combine the Announcements, Suggestions Box and Site Issues forum and the SailNet FAQ as they basically serve the same purpose. Though both seem to be used as a general question forum. many forums have the FAQ as a locked forum that has basic VB Bulletin instructions. I did not go to the beginning of the forum to see if that is the case. Or we could just lock it and move helpful hints there.

Also is there anyway to delete the original message after they are moved? both of the forums are littered with posts that were mistakenly posted there and then moved.

Since I've made the suggestion, I'll volunteer to find threads and flag 'em for y'all to move, would that work? IIRC there's that little triangle thingie to flag for moderators and in the note I could say 'please move this' or some such

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

Could you please stop that pop up for an "lovoo?" chat app on the iPad...
It is really unsettling me and very annoying...
While i understand that you need to finance this marvelous page, i hate that the device suddenly and consistantly switches to some advert... Which i than have to cancel and open the browser again!
Thank's

Re: Sailnet Suggestion Box

Moderators;
Could you guys have a default standard (size) for all pages? I'm starting to see some pages surpersized depending on individual loading them, Especially with pictures. It's getting annoying....

Thoughts?
