We have a small computer shop here.... We have about as fast broadband with as consumers can get here in the US , My personal comp is a HOT ROD ( I am into overclocking) and use SSD Harddrives & dual Video cards...the site is slower this past week....

IMHO it is due to the advertizeing bar at the top of the forum , nothing loads till it's done loading it's self ...I would imagine it would be harder on most comps esp thoes using onboard video.

I can see a slow down BUT for my comp it's only a copula seconds very noticeable as my comp has NO lag after a click ..

Hope that helps the webmaster here...

Minnewaska will become famous soon enough
I just installed AdBlock Plus as an add-on to Firefox. The speed is immeasurably faster. I would gladly turn it off if SailNet fixed the problem and put an announcement to that affect out. I'm not opposed to the adds, but they are counter productive if they drive you away.

This is as far as I have gotten with rr.

Anyone here got an IP address for me?

Today they asked this.

May I get the info to send to them please?

This is the slowest forum I regularly attend. My download speed is admittedly challenged at a couple hundred kbps but the advertising here seems the culprit.

This site is SO slow....
after I click on a new thread I have time to apply a coat of varnish to the galley area... and wait for it to dry, before it opens. :-))

I can't browse this forum anymore. I use a 3G card and it takes 30 sec to a minute for every page load. I get my boats BB fix somewhere else these days.

I'm also having an issue with Sailnet being slow to load. Something has changed with this site over the last month which has slowed the site considerably.
