chain plates

I have a 1966 pearson wanderer hull #9. I noticed the aft chain plate pulling forward and it actually notched the deck. We did have her in a little bit of a blow(20-30kts) during a nite race. It might have happend on the run, wing to wing with the full 150 out. Anyone else seen this?

With only a 30 knot blow, I do not think that should have happened.
Respectfully suggest that you look for the underlining cause.

How are they attached? Are they encapsulated in glass? if so, hard to inspect but you probably have some rot and they are pulling out.
