Question Add a "You Tube" icon

Could SailNet add a You Tube Icon on the post new thread page so a video can be embedded in a post or someone tell me how to do it. I have seen the icon in other forums and I like it better than just the link.

Thanks

When you're on the page for a YouTube video, there's a box underneath the video info titled "Embed". You can copy that code into your post. On some forums it doesn't work or isn't allowed, but I think it does here.

Double checking ...

Looks to me like it didn't get the whole thing when you copied it. Not sure why it would do that, though.

Chef,

It looked to me as if you are copying the URL and not the Embed.

This is the Embed copied......

but but but...what you have pasted is neither URL nor Embed.....I'm trying to think this out here cos I had a similar problem myself at one time, cannot recall how I overcame it....

What browser are you using ? Let me know and I'll see if I can replicate the problem.

At the moment I'm at work (shhhh) with Exploder 8

I right clicked the embed code and pasted it right into the message post box but no luck. At A-S they had the You Tube Icon and you could click on that and copy the code and it worked for me fine, but not on SN? Um

When I copy the URL I get this: YouTube - Tartan 4400 Test Sail

When I copy the Embed code I get this: http://www.youtube.com/v/ckZHxXEAMec&hl=en_US&fs=1&">http://www.youtube.com/v/ckZHxXEAMec&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

tdw,

That's been a problem for me, too. I have figured it out in the past, but sometimes I can't duplicate it. Today it seems to be working (Safari).

I want one of these. I measured and I can park it on the foredeck:
