"Obfuscation"????

Obfuscation is the concealment of intended meaning in communication, making communication confusing, intentionally ambiguous, and more difficult to interpret.

thank you wikipedia. and thanks Jeff for explaining that, though I kinda like the other options suggested here.

It is obfuscating frustrating because I should at least be at 12 by now...doesn't everyone Agree?

What this site really needs is a big huge " I like this guy" button at the bottom of all my posts...that way, you all don't have to look for that little weight and ballance thingy at the top that's so hard to find.

Now it's really become obfuscatory. This whole time I thought it was the amount of complaints. And here I have a 9. Does that make me a Super Sailnet'r.

Uh, maybe it's because I keep my mouth shut (here) and just read a lot. Nah! That can't be it!

I know! It's how many spellin errows one gets.

As long as you make a certain number of posts, your "rep" number will go up automatically by one on the anniversary of when you signed up. So if you signed up nine years ago, and you've remained active, the rep number should be nine. It can also increase based on feedback.

The green squares under the rep number are generally more indicative of how others have rated your content.

We seem to get this question about rep power with some regularity. The best explanation I've seen yet was provided by Maine Sail in this thread: Rep Power

okay now it really gets confusing with two threads rep power and Rep Power, I did find out you can't give more than one Good Rep to a member consecutively you must spread the wealth around. Sorry Denise I can't make you bigger (your number I mean) and I won't give it to smackdaddy as he is cranky enough. Maybe I can find some good advise somewhere else and give a point.
