Andrew:
I used some music yesterday but I chose Mozart's Don Giovanni. Probably not the best choice to cheer me up. I usually listen to CBC2 ( Canadian Public radio) on Saturday because they have an opera every Sat afternoon but yesterday it was a ridiculous new Canadian opera premier. It was wretched.
I probably should have gone for some Donizetti instead of DG.

I suppose they do have that going for them.

I call the school about once a week but I did not call this week and I think by now there must be over $11,000 collected. If we can get to $12,000 we are looking at maybe enough to cover three students. That would be great.

When are you coming up here? You'd like it here and I have a room all ready for you.

Bob --

Cosi Fan Tutte? La Belle Helene? Abduction from the Seraglio? Sweeney Todd? Fidelio? More cheerful in general, if one must have opera...

I must have opera. Not all the time. I have eclectic musical taste. I am listening to Verdi's REQUIEM right now on CBC2. I was playing some old Elvis tunes on my new guitar yesterday. Seemed fitting on account of the fact that it's the same model guitar that Elvis usually played. Can't say I'll be playing any opera on it althought I do a pretty rough rendition of Un Bel Di on ocassion.

I'm planning on coming up for the Rendezvous.

As for getting to the $12K - we'll get it there. C'mon you SiNcitiers! Hit the links, dig in your wallet, and man up for a great cause!

Great. Plan at least one day at the house before or after the Rendezvous.

Wow. I just received a very nice, and very unexpected gift from the Seattle Central Community College Foundation, care of the Serinis. Very generous.

Lots of good people around you Bob.

C'mon SNers....hop on over and ring the bell for a very worthy cause...
