Clearly, there is a problem.

It's not clear anyone at admin knows yet...

Or cares...

But it's unlikely that either is the case.

Can't one of you moderators get this issue to the fellow who can inspire it's correction?

Just posted on a thread called Are you a do it yourselfer? Most of the posters there would have taken a hammer to this problem by now, I would wager.

It's costing y'all money!!! Do you care?

Not to defend the moderators here but they were probably experiencing the same problems we all have for the LAST 2 -3 DAYS. It is also summer in the northern hemisphere and the problem occurred over a weekend so the techno-geek who could fix the situation was probably out at his/her beach house or wherever.
Usually they are pretty good about posting warnings about planned outages but there was no notice of any kind about this one - might as well have been offline for all the functionality sailnet possessed.
The URL *.envolve.com has now been removed and the site is working as expected. If this was an advertisers website I'd be more pissed that whoever tested (QA) the introduction of this URL did not catch how it totally disabled sailnet forums.
Since no official notice of this unplanned outage has been posted we are free to speculate on who to blame and how to punish them.
And since when is the word "scripts" not allowed here?

The site has been terrible all weekend.

I didn't know what to do, so I went sailing. More wind than forecast, it was great.

Sorry about all of this folks. From a Mod perspective things have been a bit tight personel wise and I've been away since Friday.

It seems to be that all if working OK now but lets see if we can get an explanation.

(oh yes and I'm not receiving any SailNet emails so if any of you reported anything recently it probably disappeared into the ether.)

edit - ps ; I confess I noticed things were a bit slow last week but to be honest thought it was my end. It certainly wasn't a major interuption, just a bit slow to load. This morning (OZ EST) I couldn't get on for an hour or so but since then it has been fine.

I'm guessing that he wot looks after the site is off for the weekend, thusly no comment, and hopefully we'll get a response Monday US time.
