Help need advice

Having starter problem. Motor is all hooked up in boat has a new starter and it won't start. Anyone have any trouble shooting advice. I am hoping it is something stupid. It started before it was hooked up inside the boat. Please help need advice ASAP. Thanks

Take a tester to the wiring and check that everything is connected and that the juice is arriving where it should arrive!

Hi Joann.

Are you still in Rhode Island?

Can you provide more information? Gas or diesel? Is fuel line properly hooked up and not blocked? Electrical connections on properly? What happens when you turn the key: click, turns over, nothing?

It could be any number of problems.

Does the motor turn over but not start? If it doesn't turn over, can you hear the starter motor running (but not engaged)? Or is it just completely dead?
