Re: I'm Done

This is a great forum.

I participate in discussions with posters who routinely post ******sh posts but who sometimes post great posts...and I am almost certain they feel the same way about my posts. I try not to let the posting influence what I think about basic personalities of the posters but in a couple of cases - overwhelmed by the glaring a**hattery - I been unable to keep my own jacka**ery in check.

Fuzzy has on a couple of occasions intervened and chided me. My discussions with him in the "back room" have in the main been civil even though he is a bit wombatish...but we all know he can't help that.

The amusement I get out of this forum in the OT/PRWG room is well worth the price. The nuggets I get about maintenance and sailing in the anteroom and parlor have saved me untold skinned knuckles/cash/time/frustration.

Thanks to all who participate.

Re: I'm Done

The wealth of information I've received on this forum has been invaluable. Well worth the price of admission. I've learned more about boat systems, design, maintenance, tactics etc in the 7 years I've been hanging around here than I thought possible. I definitely take more away that I am able to contribute. I've been encouraged to undertake projects I would have never considered attempting and the people like Mainsail et al that post step by step instructions and tutorials are incredible resources. Hell, you can even get recipes from all over the world here. What's not to like.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Maybe they stay to torment you since it obviously bothers you enough to post about it.

Re: I'm Done

I didn't take the time to go back & read all the posts. However, it appears some are not pleased? Reading & participating on these forums is voluntary. I enjoy all of them, how does one know what 2 stroke oil is best, or how to vote?

Re: I'm Done

I started from nothing, this forum has been the source of more information than I would expect to obtain from a BA.
Stoats and weasels are evil creatures. They kill and ear rats, LOL.
I don't interact well with people. This forum has and is helping. Sailors are by the most part real. Even if they are sometimes randy and blunt.
Thank you all for your information, and for preparing me to go to sea (I hope).
