Indeed it may well be a good idea to send a PM to the supposed hostile poster before reacting publicly.
just so! all anyone can go by is what is written, sometimes things get changed in the translation

I have to say that I liked Smack's old tag line better "Gruntled"

As for those of you that choose to shove off; this is getting ridiculous. If you're shovin' off, shudup and shove off. Bon voyage.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled banter....

Re: I'm Done

I sopose if someone say's " hey I learned a lot here and so long and I'll pm my e-mail to some of you but I'm going off grid, ciao" that would be one thing, but the fairwell posts I've read have been pathetic and insulting and begging for rhetoric.

Also don't see any major issues with the site. No excessive negativity or rudeness. But I usually just look into the General Discuss or Gear forums. Is there an Idiots Only sub-forum I'm missing?

I do miss that guy who owned a multihull and always recommended that anyone buying a monohull should have their keelbolts replaced. Like it was as simple as replacing a winch or something. He was a hoot.
Dude, you've got 11 years in the hole! That's impressive!

This sackcloth loincover is itchy as hell, huh?

Re: I'm Done

No, Mr winston does not pronounce it aruminum. That came out of a diesel truck type forum I wonder around. Those with the ALL steel brands, ie Ford and Dodge had to give those of us with GM's a bit o blather, due to GM with the Dmax using aluminum heads. So all kinds of false them aruminum heads will blow up, yadda yadda on that newfangled motor..........Just use aruminum upon occasion instead of aluminum!

I do not hit a forum that seems to stay the same, unless it is a smaller VERY small user oriented setup, ie less than 10K reg posters. Once you start to hit much over that, much less over 100K like this one, or 300K or so on one I moderate on. Things get real phun! or is that "FUN" or some such thing. Then you get sock puppets.....what a pita some folks can be!

Re: I'm Done

i've been here a while!i've seen people come and go [mostly go] i'm an old exmarine and have lived a pretty hard life,i demand and expect just a little respect and i resent disrespect to anyone, when someone/anyone posts their "done" i feel a loss because that tells me their hurting,I DON"T LIKE THAT and its seems to me anyone who does is an a**hole,i'm not overy fond of a**hole, take that anyway you want!
