Animated favicon drives up FireFox CPU usage

The favicon appears in every SailNet tab, as well as on the url bar.

If I manually block animated favicon, FireFox's CPU usage drops by quite a bit, depending on how many SailNet tabs were open.

Please remove
Code:
<link rel="icon" href="animated_favicon.gif" type="image/gif">
from the site. I don't think the scrolling text is worth the cpu cycles.

I joined this just to agree with the objection to the animate favicon. Truly a terrible, annoying thing to have. Hard to see how anyone could ever think it's a good idea. Scrolling text is particularly offensive.
