WireSizer App for iPhone/iPad

Hi all,

I own a sailboat and am an independent software developer, and want to share one of the apps I’ve written. WireSizer is an ABYC E-11 conforming voltage drop and wire gauge calculator for DC systems. Its been out for a few years with regular updates and mostly positive reviews. I know there are a variety of voltage drop calculators out there nowadays, but I like to think WireSizer is still the easiest and most intuitive to use. Kind of like an old fashioned slot machine.

It does the voltage drop calculations, checks the wire ampacity (including factors like bundling and inside engine compartments), and gives you suggested wire sizes in AWG, SAE, or Metric so you can use it wherever you are.

I designed it to help me with our sailboat’s wiring, but it is a good tool for any less than 50 volt DC application. I know of users who are using it for everything from haunted houses, to well pumps, to amateur radios, and alternative energy installations.

The app is ad free, but does cost 99 cents or your countries equivalent. All proceeds go to our boat fund.

You can read more about it at it’s webpage http://www.WireSizer.com or go straight into the Apple App store at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wiresizer/id494748550

If you have any questions or comments, you can leave them here or contact me directly.

Thank you!
