As a winter project I redesigned our website. I have no IT skills what so ever and no knowledge of design.

Thanks Cruising dad.
It may be because I am using a gallery with darkened images until you hover over them or click on them when they open up in a llightbox.
A lot of this stuff I am getting used to so all the feedback helps...
