iPhone / iPad Apps - sugestions

Hello,

I'm developing an iPad/iPhone Apps startup and would like to hear about your ideas regarding nautical apps you would like to have on your mobile devices.

Thank you all!

iPhone / iPad Apps - sugestions

How about a scheduler for sailboat maintenance with some built in smarts to remind me when it's time to do everything from check filters to inspect rigging?

How about a compilation of nautical charts from around the world?

or

How about one that lets you take a picture of a boat and the app lets you know what type, model, make it is?

How about a rolling tide table so you can look at the tide without choosing the area

RobGallagher, I'm afraid I didn't get it but thank you for your "contribution" anyway.

How about one that can put a beautiful, naked, mute, woman who is an excellent cook as first mate?

I'll demo the app for free.

Seriously though, how about an all-in-one app. Give it a customizable log function, integrate weather/sea conditions automatically, chart your course, ColRegs integration, race rules integration, local area info such as who monitors what channels, NOTAMS, the contact info for TowBoatUS and their competition, customizable maintenance schedules, flag descriptions, etc...

Like I said, an All-In-One type of app.

I take it you are not familiar with the website.

A cheap or free application that will allow access and use, online or off on an apple product of this HTML based site:

Re: iPhone / iPad Apps - sugestions

There are three shipping apps for the iPhone/iPad that support ActiveCaptain offline. Navimatics Charts & Tides has been out for 2.5 years with support. There are 14 other apps on other platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, etc). See:
https://activecaptain.com/navProducts.php

Garmin's app will be the fourth for iOS - it's about to be released. It has full ActiveCaptain offline support in a really excellent chartplotter app. I'm super-jazzed about the capabilities of this app. I've been using it as a tester for 8 months and it is fantastic.

There are 3-5 additional iOS apps on their way.

An alternative is to use the Photon app. That allows Flash to be used on the iPad and then the regular website can be used online. It works pretty well - I haven't found any problems. There are huge advantages to using an offline app though.
