Atomic-4 Needed -CT,MA,RI area

I'm needing a good running A-4 from the area of CT,MA or RI. My 76' Catalina 27's engine appears to have taken her last ride. The ships in the water and sailing but it's alittle big for me to row around, though I've read some do. At the very least I need a manifold and head. The originals both rusted out so I hesitate to continue with the old block and prefer another engine.
This is a 32 year old salt water cooled engine that has run for 2 years with JB Weld stuffed into the ever increasing number of geysers flowing out of the rust holes in the head. Lately, its been the salt water in the rear cylinders and carberator from the rusted out manifold that has stalled the beast. Time for a replacement.
Thanks for any leads. Charlie

Hi... I have recently removed a nice running A-4 from my 1972 Morgan 34... I was going to "spruce it up", i.e. clean, paint, etc. I have had the starter/solenoid and the alternator rebuilt. It is raw water cooled (mostly freshwater) having spent most of its' life on the Great Lakes. It has a 2:1 reduction gear and electric fuel pump. I am in the process of upgrading the thermostat (the kit with 1/4" spacer) from Moyer Marine. My plans have changed and I am offering it for sale "as is" for $900.00.. I am on the Northshore of Boston and may be reached @ 877-GR8-SAIL or gr8-sail@comcast.net ... in any event, Peace, Health, Happiness and have a great season!

Still looking/Where's Vincent

Thanks for the Maine lead. Vincent's sounded ok but he's not responding.Get in touch with me if you're still selling.
I've pulled out the old engine and there's a crack thru the water jacket at the rear manifold stud thru to the intack port.

Apologies to Dhow

Hi Charlie,
So sorry to "disappear",,,, I was sent abroad on EXTREMELY short notice due to military issues. I hope you have resolved your A-4 matter (my brother started to work on my A-4 take-out while I was TDY... it looks new!). Again, sorry...for any inconvenience. I did list a post on here, "looking for sailing buddies", when I returned... If you feel like sailing the Cape Ann area, just give me a shout, it would be my pleasure!
Best Regards,
Vincent
