Atomic 4s and anti-siphon valves ?

I am use to gas inboards with a 6 PSI fuel pump and a fuel tank with and anti-siphon valves Vs a shut off valve

In looking at a boat with and A4 i see it just has a shutoff valve and the fuel pumps work in the 2 to 3 PSI range

Will and anti-siphon valve work with this fuel pump OR is the pressure to low on theses motors ?

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

Our boat has a solenoid-operated shutoff at the top of the tank that shuts off the fuel when the key's turned off. (Plus a manual shutoff closer to under the companionway steps.)

pschoonveld is on a distinguished road
Have a look through the forums at Moyer Marine (moyermarine.com).

It seems everyone has an opinion on this one. I've never seen anything other than electric and manual valves, but some people have used anti-siphons or even backwards installed check-valves (!) of some variety. Don Moyer doesn't care for the check-valve solution as electric fuel pumps don't always like the additional restriction.
