A4 Clutch & Throttle Control Replacement

Catalina Direct: Clutch and Throttle Control Retrofit Atomic 4

I'd appreciate thoughts on this replacement. Twice now, while coming into a slip the bracket holding the clutch cable slipped leaving me with no choice but to turn off the engine while in very tight quarters. Needless to say, some paint was lost while we wrestled the boat into the slip sans engine.

I see alternative as replacing the cable, so the added cost over that would run about $200 which seems reasonable if the contraption works.

CalebD will become famous soon enough
So, it would appear that you have wheel steering as that throttle/shift control is meant to fit on a binnacle or steering post. Catalina Direct has a decent reputation for their parts.
They may be able to supply you with the cables for the throttle and choke if they need to be replaced as well. Another source for the choke/throttle cables is: Moyer Marine Atomic 4 Engine Rebuilding and Parts
